Wanna be my Valentine?

So, is anyone ready for Valentine's Day? I'm not that's for sure! Is there anyone who chooses to ignore Valentine's Day for the sheer commercialism of it? I think it's a bunch of crap, but it is nice to do something romantic with your "other half" ;0).

This weekend I am going to make some sugar cookies..yum! I love to bake, so I am excited...even if I will be baking by myself. I plan on doing a Valentine theme with the cookies, cause I have some cute cookie cutters. Two years ago at Easter dinner I was in charge of bringing a dessert, so I got the bright idea to make something for each individual.

First of all A.C. Moore to me is like crack to a junkie, just so ya know. I saw an idea for cookie flowers on sticks on their website, so I bought everyone an Easter mug for $1, and then made four cookies per person (Easter theme), and decorated them accordingly. I put foam in the mugs, poked the cookie pops in, covered the foam in Easter grass, and topped with jelly beans. So, I was thinking of doing something similar for Valentine's Day.

So, what do you think? Good idea? Would you buy something like that for your sweetie? I know that I have pictures of the Easter cookies, but I don't know where they are...I'll have to look. I was also entertaining the idea of making some chocolates, but we will see how long the cookies take to do.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!!

Sounds like a fun idea!

We exchange cards and get something cute for the kids...stuffed bunny or something.

Enjoy!
